just to address this head on: looking at that list of games, my first review indicates that there's 1 game that coinbase ventures has any financial stake in. i can guarantee that there was nothing intentional about leaving @GunGameBase off this list — it's just hard to keep up with all the cool things being built on base! i have been following gun game from pretty much the beginning, think what you're building is awesome, and am excited to keep building with you. 💛

Would love to see an open disclosure of the projects @base has financial exposure to and compare that list to the projects they promote. Of course, such info won't be transparent or validated. They don't own any part of @GunGameBase so they'll never indicate that we even exist. We believed in the "onchain summer" vision and built on Base because we believed the ideals and vision Base outwardly promoted. Turns out, they're seemingly only interested in making large amounts of money. They did it to @kemonokaki. They're doing it to us. They're going to do it to many more projects, and they're going to do it to yours if you don't give them a portion of your project or a way for them to profit. We will prioritize moving our games and community elsewhere (pending completion of our V2 contracts and liquidity unlock). Somewhere aligned with truly community-oriented projects. Environments in which collaboration is actually celebrated. Places where team-led and pure/no-VC projects can succeed and thrive. Base is not that place. You will not thrive unless you fit some opaque requirements they won't even publicly disclose. You can fill out any form, you can DM any employee, but for one reason or another, if they don't like you, they'll ignore you completely. But that won't stop us. People like this are the very reason I build here. I will not stop, and neither should you. Just consider deploying somewhere else.
