You decide: A kid I know crashed his motorcycle into a car that illegally pulled a U turn in front of him. In the ER a cop brought the kid's GoPro in while doctors were working on him, and asked to see the video. The kid was speeding previous to the crash, so he said "Yes, if you don't give me a ticket" The cop promised not to give a ticket, whereupon the kid said "yes". The cop came back later and said "You were speeding, but I will keep my promise not to give you a ticket" " I'm going to refer it to the court, who may give you a ticket" Now the kid not only has to deal with painful injuries and months of rehab, but the looming court date and need to hire lawyers. I don't condone speeding, but this tactic only teaches the young man never to trust police again. IMHO. What do you think?

When I was a kid, we gathered for dinner and ate together. In the evening we gathered to watch TV, all watching the same show. That is totally gone in most households now. Kids watch whatever they want on their own devices. Many eat from DoorDash or fast food, often on their own schedule.
