The need for diapers and formula remains critical for families in Gaza. Small amounts enter through commercial trucks, but most families can't afford them. Many mothers are forced to give their babies tea instead of milk because formula is either unavailable or too expensive. They rewash strips of cloth to use as diapers for infants. The diapers cost $293 and the formula $188. After 11% commission, the total amount to serve these 20 babies was $481. That means a single pack of diapers and one can of formula costs about $24 - money that most families simply don't have. Without this support, infants go without proper nutrition and hygiene, putting their health and lives at serious risk.
