Tennessee Baseball coach Josh Elander raved about OF/LHP Blaine Brown following the Vols’ mid-week win Tuesday: “What’s not to like, right? He’s left-handed. It’s 95-96 miles an hour,” said Elander. “… He’s such a dynamic athlete.” Brown, a dual-position player for the Vols, made his first start on the mound against UNC Asheville on Tuesday and struck out all three batters he faced. The Rice transfer has bursted onto the scene for the Vols to begin the season, tallying seven runs, nine hits, and six RBI’s at the plate in the Vols first four outings. The 6’5 lefty retired the top of the order in 16 pitches on Tuesday before handing the ball to Cam Appenzeller. #ForTheFans
