I watched Rice come through at west ham & I thought he would end up an elite center half due to him having sensational defensive anticipation. So I do see his point. But he has become an excellent cm

I never understood why Arsenal fans cared about what these guys/rivals think of our players. We won the league and are by far a top2 team in the world with these players while every other team genuinely stinks

@DrRitzyy I don't think anyone with half a brain thinks rice should be replaced. The work rice does off the ball is sensational. Rice needs to be paired with someone who provides the team rhythm. Literally this was Souness' point. He didn't say rice is shit and he should be dropped.

@Paccccc6 @Gunner_rein @KeffiyehMe7o I think there is no clear 2nd best team. Which is why I called out the person who stated arsenal were "by far the 2nd best team in the world". As I keep saying to Arsenal fans, you have a great foundation, but you need to build on it. Defending a pl title is extremely difficult

Rice is a lone 6. Not a CM in a 2. He should have been made that the minute he got signed at Arsenal. Both his club and intl managers are wasting him by constantly pairing him with someone

@RoliTshindane Agreed! He definitely does have the athleticism to get away. But he unfortunately lacks in other areas to be great in that role I.e First touch, ball control/manipulation and quick decision making…his processing speed is too slow for what a world class 6 needs
