There is no point in buying fancy brushes. Just buy the cheapest brushes you can find including those available at dollar stores. However I would spend extra money on a 4” brush over a 3” brush. A brush will only last a day or less.

There’s a new real good way to get the stain from the 5 gallon bucket into something more manageable other than to just dip it in and wipe it off well, with a rag. I recommend having a lot of rags on-hand.

Several people have commented on how bad the deck looks.. and that’s true; there’s no-doubt about it. It’s a 20-year-old deck, with the most recent stain applied at least 6-7 years ago. Pics 1&2 represents 70% of the deck, while 3&4 are the worst sun damaged spots.

Back on the deck project early this morning. Don’t forget to “double-glove” it!

@cosyluv I like it a lot... mainly because I think the “bugs-factor” would be minimal. When they set up these sorts of beds in the woods, they always under-estimate the bugs problems.
