@thedialogist Very valid points that are true. Athens is sadly also very ugly. The old apartment blocks need to be tore down and rebuilt eventually. Some more greenery needs to be planted. Once that happens Athens will definitely be even more liveable.

I consider it to be a huge tell if someone doesn’t like Athens. It’s not a hyper-manicured or Disneyfied European capital. It’s a real, living place with some of the best food and nightlife in the world alongside the most breathtaking antiquities in existence.

This is why I always say Middle Easterners wouldn’t necessarily be an issue if they started mixing with the native population.
A 10% Muslim minority would be assimilated through intermarriage fairly quickly, and within a few generations it would barely be noticeable.
