Paying to use public restrooms.
I paid €40 to go to a concert last weekend & still had to pay €1 to access the restroom.
It’s such a big thing here that my kids’ school chose Urinetown, a show about life under pay-to-pee tyranny, as their high school musical. 🤣

For some reason OpenAI doesn’t seem to be talking about how Starbucks spent years creating and testing an AI inventory counting system with NomadGo. Starbucks rolled it out to all North American stores in September 2025. It hallucinated objects that weren’t there, misidentified labels and just couldn’t accurately count. Even as recently as February 2026, management was crowing how good it worked while frontline employees said it was creating MORE work and leading to lost sales due to shortages. It was supposed to save $2.5 billion in manual counting done by humans. This month they shut it down completely and went back to manual counting done by humans.

The EU is moving to prioritize European satellite operators over Starlink, as the European Commission prepares a decision this week designed to reduce the bloc’s dependence on U.S. infrastructure.

So Oxford UK is to become a 15 minute city in August. Do people realise what a 15 minue City is?????? Do you realise they need a pass to leave it, even to go to work????
