My team published 15 papers; I was listed in the top 1% of scientists in the world in all areas of science again, and for the first time ever, I made 100% student satisfaction in both Genetics and Forensics I lecture at uni
So it’s been a year now since I defended my thesis, got my title, and noped out of academia.
I don’t regret a thing, would do it again! But I’m so much happier where I am now, you have no idea!
@jagungal1 So different from having a 🐝 hive in QLD tropics. I think I am the only woman in the world that feather dusts her garden! So many cobwebs in the garden full of bees! And the 🕷 set up 🕸 just above major buzz 🐝 plants and trees. So I grab a feather duster and dust my garden 😜

What do academics do to reduce stress levels?
My medicine is gardening & walking/chilling with my dog.
Obviously my kids are great but sometimes increase the stress!
Would love more tips to dill with the unrelenting pressure…
