I don't post much personal stuff but I'll make an exception on this My Dad is stage 4. Came out of nowhere, moved like lightning. Went from healthy 2 months ago to nearly gone today. Life is short. Cherish it. Ok, here's the novel parts. I've never really prayed before. Aside from like getting ready for takeoff and trying to calm down lol I've been so overwhelmed that for the first time I'm really praying. Like my whole being is praying. I kid you not. With zero exaggeration. Every time I've done it for the past week I get whole body chills. As I type it it is happening again. It feels like I'm connected and acting in pure selflessness and therefore it is like I'm sending electricity into the air. It is really special. Not sure what to make of it. Also, my Dad fought me for 15 days on going to the hospital. Only yesterday did I finally get him to go. I'll spare you the laundry list of issues and just say that the doctors told me that had he not gone he would've died last night. So anyways, I saved my Dad's life. Not for long most likely but I could have weeks or even months left if I get lucky. I'm so deeply grateful I've now gotten to express how special he is to me. The pain is immense but it is only reflective of the love I feel. If anyone has lost a parent and has advice I would appreciate it. I feel like I'm handling it all as well as I can, spending time with him daily, but I'm sure I'll still get rocked when it finally happens. Any prayers or tips you can send my way, thanks in advance.
