@rotfx @Bas86enschede @DanielSmidstrup For today's companies, especially those working with AI, old chips would not be economically viable. That would mean going back about 20 years, and China would dominate. Stocks would plummet, and AI is what's barely keeping American companies afloat.
English

@GuyInNature85 @Bas86enschede @DanielSmidstrup You just get slower chips based on older tech. ICs existed before asml. 20 year old chip tech won't send you to stone age.
English

@Bas86enschede @DanielSmidstrup ASML is what makes the list above possible. If ASML shut down, there'll be no more Nvidia, ChatGPT etc. You can't replace something like that overnight. Everything runs internationally. Constantly saying the US, US, china is ridiculous. Europe has contributed a lot to this.
English

@DanielSmidstrup The Netherlands has ASML, which has a monopoly on extreme high end microchip machines

@chop_cheese5 @epsilando @james_bert_mill @TrumpDailyPosts Based on your behavior, I think you're the one who didn't receive any love from his parents. By the way, your answers are even more ridiculous than those of a bot. This site is for adults 18+, so please go away and play Lego
English

@epsilando @chop_cheese5 @james_bert_mill @TrumpDailyPosts You can't communicate with people like that. Just ignore them. And wait until this kid learns that their Lego is European and that Trump hates Europe so much and makes it even more expensive for Americans with his arbitrary tariffs.
English

@chop_cheese5 @james_bert_mill @TrumpDailyPosts Are you not loved by your parents, is that why you’re a republican bigot loser? See how fucking stupid that sounds? Instead of insulting me, how about you actually bring up a topic to debate

@GoNintendoTweet It's the same as with the life-size Pokémon plushies. 400 to 500 for a bit fabric that's assembled in China or Vietnam for 3 dollars. The worker gets nothing.

@withlovsah @VoidReinc Hotntopic ship internationally but its expensive 1 article 50$, 2 articles 72$ etc. So to me at least. But honestly this pants looks like a emo outfit and would be embarrassing to wear

@sonicstadium Well gave a few countries access and beta versions for 8 months or even more. After half the world had played it, I lost all interest in starting it myself. Plus, it feels like you need three battle passes every month, and you're bombarded with ads for in-app purchases every time

BREAKING: SEGA has canceled their Super Game initiative, which was going to produce AAA live service games aimed at global audiences.
This came after weak F2P game performance last year, including Sonic Rumble Party. They are shifting focus away from F2P games & have already moved 100 people to full game development. #SonicNews

@CtrlCMDr @ishuagra02 @Pirat_Nation I pay 85 for almost each here in Switzerland (CHF65 =USD84) this for AA games
English

@ishuagra02 @Pirat_Nation oh, shut it if you are just going to be throwing around false statements
the ONLY $80 game on the Switch 2 is Mario Kart World physical edition.
every other first party game is the same $50-60, with the occasion $70 for AAA Nintendo title

Nintendo’s stock dropped 12% after the Switch 2 price increase to $499 in the US from the expected $449.99.
The change starts in September 2026 for Western markets due to higher memory and component costs plus tariffs and exchange rates.
The company also cut its sales forecast to 16.5 million units next year, down from nearly 20 million, but President Shuntaro Furukawa said the Switch 2 is selling faster than the original console

English

@Pirat_Nation 60k yen is still only 380 usd, still much cheaper

Japanese retailers are heavily restricting purchases of the Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of an upcoming price increase.
Nintendo is raising the price of the standard model in Japan from ¥49,980 to ¥59,980, with similar increases for bundles and accessories.
The announcement has triggered a last-minute buying frenzy, causing rapid sell-outs at major chains such as Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera.
Physical stock has already disappeared from many locations, online availability is extremely limited, and Bic Camera has begun imposing purchase limits.
Other large retailers are expected to follow with similar loyalty-based policies, such as requiring membership tiers or a history of past spending.
The restrictions want to support regular customers and stop scalpers

@FriedCh41287569 @robertmcguinn18 @DavesEchoVerse @nypost The cost of living in the US has increased by 20-23% overall from 2020 to 2025, with real estate and rent having the biggest impact at up to 40%, followed by groceries (20-30%), car, transport and insurance (25%), and energy (15-30%). Have your wages also increased that much?

@ThierryBorgeat Another one of those nonsensical posts. No PPP or other comparisons. The median income is very similar in Spain, France, and Japan, for example. But what about healthcare, rent, and food costs? Have fun researching that. In addition, as is typical in the USA,very unequal incomes.

I just spent two weeks traveling through the southern United States, including Mississippi.
The state with the lowest GDP per capita.
I was shocked by what I saw, and then… I was even more shocked to learn that Mississippi’s GDP per capita is still much higher than that of nearly half of Europe.
Yes, the U.S. remains the economic engine. Say what you will.

An AI developer in Europe makes $80K on average. A year. In the US, a McDonald’s manager can make $125K or more. Despite its challenges, the US remains economic engine and powerhouse. There simply is no peer.

@sonic_hedgehog Segas marketing. Sonic sales are like 50% in the US, europe 35% and 15% japan+rest of the world. Yeah we make merch only for the US and also a lot for our small market japan. Sonic is not popular in japan. But why always left out europe? No wonder they lost the console market
