@HurricaneR4118 and @Ultimate_Aeros having a busy day today. Both Hurricanes, R4118 and the two seat BE505, the Harvard and the ME108 all flying today! Lots a very happy friends and customers!
Early Tuesday, a huge firework display took place-1.30am. It caused a great deal of trouble for us as many locals believe it took place at the Airfield. It was in fact a private residence in bottle lane off the A4 celebrating 75 years of Indian independence. Locals Please RT
@HurricaneR4118 Great efforts to spread the Hurricane love in the community. I can echo a lot of the sentiment here as luck enough to live close to @WLACFlying so have regular interruptions by @HurricaneR4118 causing hairs on neck to rise!
So great to be able to share our aircraft with the local community. The local Cub Scouts dropped by today… I think they enjoyed it 😁. Frankly if you’d have let me walk around a Hurricane and Harvard at 10 years old, I’d have been beside myself. Still am if I’m honest 😬
On this day in 1938, the Harvard became the first American-designed aircraft to enter service with the RAF. Now, BBMF fighter pilots train in the RNLAF HF Harvards as a stepping stone between the Chipmunk and the Hurricane. Photo: Johan Lemmings, RNLAF HF
@HurricaneR4118@IWMDuxford In this rather challenging year it has been great to see you on your frequent trips to @WLACFlying as well as several times while out on my mountain bike! Enjoy the R&R
After an amazing year of flying @HurricaneR4118, Thursday’s lockdown probably means we’ll do her annual and put her safely away in the hangar for the rest of the year...but not before one more flight tomorrow morning from @IWMDuxford. Weather’s looking perfect 😁
