I use a Quest 2 and I've seen effects more advanced than this, though tbf it could easily just look more advanced but isn't. However for that reason, I still think this isn't executed well.
If I gave feedback to whoever made this I'd say to add image vectors for water splashing; an easy way to improve VFX with little effect on performance, and add more obvious grass to hand interaction, it virtually looks unaffected by the hand (if it is), which I've seen some VR games do very well

@Guy_Awesomest I've been playing Quest since the day first Quest launched and I've never seen some of the quality of the effects used in that experience. It may not come across in the video but it's visually stunning for the Quest 3.

@Guy_Awesomest Yeah it's annoying... although to be fair, they didn't necessarily "replace it with this" if you're referring to makeup. From the way they talk about it, it appears as though makeup is only *one of* the features the new system is made to support, but I could be wrong.

LBR... If this came out 2 years ago, didn't have anything to do with classic faces, and maybe was called something more neutral, everyone would be calling it a W update.
I personally don't mind the name btw some people are just clearly pushed away by it being called makeup 🤷♂️
