@andrewbritton76 @georgekh @BBCBreaking We all do! This was never an issue or difference between left and right. The trans issue is a scapegoat for right wing hate, trying to cause division and distraction for their real agenda! Just watch the USA for numerous examples.

Doesn't take a genius guess the Tory plan. Starve the NHS of money until it collapses and say "Hey, look everyone, the NHS isn't working. We need to get rid of it." Can’t tell you effect this has on my NHS nurse wife & her colleagues, struggling to keep things going for patients

Am I the only one who finds it infuriating to listen to Sunak at #PMQs say "Mr Speaker. Mr Speaker..." and then launch into an endless stream of Tory mega-achievements all of which are utter fiction and which he clearly thinks we are too pig-ignorant to realise are utter fiction?

On Tuesday, the government announced it had given a massive contract to he US spy-tech firm, Palantir, to handle the new NHS Federated Data Platform. ✋ Worried about what that might mean for your personal data? We are too. Here’s how to use the NHS national data opt-out 👇

Last year the Tories spent £443m fighting benefit appeals from the disabled. It would have been cheaper to just pay the benefits.

@SP_Duckworth Why are classics graduates running the country? These subjects are more like hobbies than proper education. We want leaders that are not just 'educated' but intelligent.

@_SailorNurse_ @ProfBrianCox Unfortunately you are assuming that was their priority, it wasn't, there priority was how to keep making money while not loosing power.

The more I hear from the Covid enquiry, the more I think that the PM and the majority of ministers did not have the intellectual tools necessary to understand scientific advice and therefore to be able to weigh it successfully alongside economics, social science etc. In my view this can be traced to educational failure - they weren’t taught or didn’t learn the basics of science alongside their chosen disciplines. This also applies the other way round to scientists of course. Breadth of knowledge is key, as well as specialisation / expertise, and I don’t think our system delivered that in the 80s and 90s when I (and they) went to University - whether it does that today is an open question. I think we need to be producing more polymaths.

@ProfBrianCox We need to make science more accessible and figure out how to make it available to all kids so they will choose scientific classes for their options. Science shouldn't be scary to kids... UK still has stigmatism for intelligence! Lets fix that!

Would you look at that… A new ruling means MPs who lose their seats will get 4 months pay instead of 2 It’s just in time for all those Tories expected to lose their seats From 365 to 45 (if polls are to be believed) So this new ruling will cost £2.3m thelondoneconomic.com/politics/mps-i…
