opment team of The Nonexistent You and Me: Silver Onion Forest.
During closed development, we have received your valuable suggestions and bug reports, and we have been polishing and adjusting the game repeatedly based on your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the delayed development log and for keeping you waiting for so long.
This time, we bring not only the April development log but also an exclusive reveal of our future major version plans, to make up for our unfulfilled promise of timely updates. Thank you for your patience and support.
April Development Log
Added the Esc System Menu (including Save, Pause, and Settings). Adjusted dialogue controls: press Enter to advance dialogue, Esc to open the menu. The menu can be accessed in most scenes such as story, combat, guild, and character growth.
Combat UI/UX Optimization: Improved skill indicator effects for clearer skill range and target validation.
Cooking System UI/UX Optimization: Enhanced visual feedback for cooking success/failure and adjusted response styles.
Character Growth UI/UX Optimization: Improved display of stat changes and feedback after attribute point allocation.
All the above content will be implemented in the game update on April 15, 2026.
Future Plans
Tutorial Optimization: Added guidance for combat controls and skill descriptions; introduced first-time tutorials for systems including Cooking; fixed inaccurate guidance information.
Pacing & Quality of Life: Added story speed adjustment, auto-play, and combat speed adjustment.
Cooking System Optimization: Adjusted forced trigger logic to reduce disruption to story progression.
Combat: Added auto-battle functionality.
Schedule Management Optimization: Refined event distribution and filled content gaps for the first 13 free days.
These features are still in development and will be rolled out gradually. Please stay tuned for future update notes.
Major Version Teaser
We will launch a major content expansion update with the following development directions:
Increase the number and branching paths of Exploration events.
Add new Combat content and mechanics.
Remove fixed party size limits, add supporting story context, and allow different team setups to progress through the game.
Some systems are still being iterated on, and specific details will be announced in upcoming development logs.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for any unsatisfactory experience during the Early Access period. We understand that trust is hard to rebuild, but we will strive to prove ourselves through our work.
