He was always exposed when he came up against more athletic and physical forwards. Just look at his shooting splits in the playoffs, he was putting up tour dates for fun. Shooting 45% from the field as a power forward 😭

The answer should be Durant. He’s been better. But because of narratives and the fact that most people didn’t actually watch Larry Bird and see him struggle as much as he did, they’ll say Bird. But trust, Bird got a few LeBron 2011 and 2007 finals games on his resume.

Almost every single one of the 7 was a 3 trying to beat the shot clock. Desperation shots.

When Mike Brown wanted to change the offense to get the ball out of Brunson's hands more and play through KAT and move the ball, Brunson not only bought in but used the extra energy to play harder on defense. Even being a bad defender is mitigated with effort.
