@KerryFail The only difference being the reaction of the opposing player. Time for VAR to pay closer attention to the unsportsmanlike behaviour aimed purely at getting an opponent sent off, this would eradicate such behaviour from our game in no time at all.

@pieandbov Biggest blight on our game in my opinion is feigning injury to justify a red card. Let’s call it what it is cheating. Ruining the game and imo the first thing that VAR should be checking. Done properly and consistently this would eradicate such behaviour from our game overnight.

This going to be an interesting one. If the appeal succeeds, which it should, it would be quite embarassing for both the 4th official who called it, and for VAR who did not seek an on field review. So the only way the officials could save face in that scenario, would be to cite Slattery for simulation. I want to see the strongest Motherwell possible between now and the end of the season btw, but we cannot be condoning cheating, and I'm afraid to say, that's exactly what this was.

The north enclosure at Hampden Park looking towards the vast, old Celtic end. That wee stand above that enclosure was the only part of old Hampden I was never in. Anyone ever get up there?
