Today DDG @J_Umuhire hosted clinical trial research partners and a delegation from @agenceANRS 🇫🇷 for strategic discussions on strengthening #Rwanda’s clinical trial capacity. Rwanda Biomedical Centre presented the national clinical research landscape, #ClinicalTrials readiness scores for the sites, and plans for infrastructure, workforce development, and regulatory strengthening -advancing Rwanda’s role in #GlobalHealth security and paving the way for impactful #Rwanda - #France #research collaboration through TEI-MAV+, Expertise France and Sida initiatives.

During his continued visit to China, DG Prof. @CMuvunyi met with the Zhejiang CDC team. They discussed areas of mutual interest, including integrated disease surveillance systems, effective response coordination through the PHEOC model, and potential joint research on epidemic preparedness. The Zhejiang CDC team also shared insights into their comprehensive program for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), showcasing successful strategies and initiatives. This meeting marks an important step toward strengthening collaboration between RBC and the Zhejiang CDC.
