Fan favourite, Alfie Bates, has committed to the Sports for next season! Alfie was asked why he wanted to stay with the Sports: "I’m delighted to have re-signed for the upcoming season. We were so close to our goal last season and I feel as if this squad can go one further. It’s the best changing room I’ve been in and it was really a no brainer. This is my hometown club which I take pride in playing for and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch with all the lads". George Batten added his praises, saying, "Alfie was my player of the season last year, so we are beyond pleased that he is staying. Having played as a forward the season before, so it's amazing how much of a natural right back he is and he's made that position his own. As the fans know, Alfie is one of the most vocal players on the pitch and he isn't scared of getting stuck in, which is exactly what we're after". #UptheSports
