@NadineDorries @JCBagriculture Crazy how the anti-British Guardian thought they are doing an expose. Instead everybody is asking why aren’t all councils buying the JCB machines…

Every council in the country should be using the @JCBagriculture machine - instead, contracts are given by corrupt councillors to small companies, some for 20 year or more terms. That’s why the roads are in the state they are in!

@BenGrahamUK Serious question: in the private sector would the FCA approve her run even a small investment fund or financial institution? No chance. But she would be allowed to run the economy of the whole country with serious risk of wrecking havoc.

Rumours suggest Angela Rayner could take over from Rachel Reeves as Chancellor. Would that improve anything? I've been critical of Rachel Reeves impact on the economy, but I have real concerns that Rayner could take things even further in the wrong direction.

@HJB_News__ If you want to have a senior role at a finance company or act as as investment manager, you have to go through a full fit-and-proper assessment on qualifications. And yet, for the one job that can cause extreme financial damage to the country, no zero qualifications needed.

Rumours suggest Angela Rayner could take over from Rachel Reeves as Chancellor. She left Avondale High School in Stockport at 16, pregnant and with no qualifications. She later studied part-time at Stockport College, where she learned British Sign Language and gained an NVQ Level 2 in social care. She never went to university. She has no financial services experience.

Terrible News. @reformparty_uk are fixing potholes by using one of our greatest ever British manufacturers machines. British councils buying British machines to fix British roads employing British people in Britain. Truly shocking.

The highest tax burden since the 1940s and record government borrowing still isn't enough apparently Time for @UKLabour to stop spending other people's money and get a grip on spending And de-regulate. The country is being strangled by red tape. Just look at the new Thames crossing... More than £1 billion spent and they haven't broken ground yet Cut regulation. Return to principles based regulation and stop trying to control every aspect of our lives
Lee Nallalingham@LNallalingham

🚨 Rachel Reeves still has a £50bn black hole in the finances?! The Office for National Statistics has confirmed the government is still running a £50bn deficit. This is after: ❌ Borrowing £280bn in the last two years ❌ Raising taxes by around £70bn So taxes go up. Borrowing goes up. And we’re still tens of billions short. This simply isn’t sustainable.

British landlords are voting with their feet. 700 homes leaving the rental sector every day. Less supply. Same demand. You know where rents go.

Behind every one of these buy-to-let sales is an eviction that in all likelihood wouldn’t have happened but for the Tory/Labour Renters’ Rights Act. Horrible for tenants. A loss to Landlords (and the Treasury). Nobody wins under bad legislation.
Cut My Tax@CutMyTaxUK

Landlords are bailing out. New research shows that some 254,000 buy-to-let properties in Britain came on to the market in the year to the end of March. That's 700 a day & it's an increase of 28% over 2024. Taxing & regulating landlords out of the market will result in tenants paying higher rents. It's such an obvious point but many politicians refuse to understand it.
