A lot of this just seems like you hate smash bros and it's fans. I wouldn't judge that but it just seems weird to disregard platform fighters as it's genre entirely.

@HBunnHandlr @jchensor @KobeManX8 It's not a "subgenre". This is nothing but Smasher cope. "Platform fighters" or whatever they want to call them are an entirely separate genre that are completely unmoored from the concept of fighting games or the communities that play them.

@psychodarf @jchensor @KobeManX8 Yeah it's not the same that's why it fits into the genre as a whole. There isn't one or two types of fighting games, there's sub-genres and everything. Yes, Smash Bros isn't a traditional fighter. But it is still a fighting game at it's core.
