Another perk of SHSM-ICT: free trips, workshops, certs & experiences. Members & a few friends went to Canada’s Wonderland to participate in a marketing & sales seminar & spent the rest of the day in the glorious☀️on rides & making memories. A great way to wind down the school yr.

Gr 12s did an Oreo Cookie Photography Challenge this week. (Yes, the first ones are green - mint) 📷 Pretty impressed with their creativity.

Love when grads come back to pay it forward. Thanks to former SHSM @HCComTech student & last year’s @hcstudco co-pres, Annie who chatted w the gr12 Comm Tech class about her post-secondary exp in film, walked them through the film process & provided tips for their short films 🎥

Silver Medalists!🥈Congratulations to @HCComTech students Roxanne & Emma on their Silver Medal in TV & Video Production at the Skills Ontario Regional Qualifier Competition today! They now move on to Skills Ontario in May to face top competitors from high schools across Ontario.

Just a few examples of the great work being done in Gr 11 Communications Technology. Students worked hard learning and using adjustment layers in Adobe Photoshop as they planned, photographed and edited their Multiplicity assignment. Well done students! 😁 #TakeTech

A fantastic day at the @kingcanfilmfest /Queen’s Film Industry Day for SHSM-ICT members. Students viewed a Canadian Shorts Program, toured Queen’s Film & Media, learned from filmmaker & actors in panel workshops & more. An incredible day for the inside scoop of getting into film.
