WEATHER ALERT: The @NWS_BaltWash has issued a TORNADO WARNING for NORTHWESTERN #HoCoMD, till 12:15 p.m. today, March 16th. At 11:59 a.m., radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Mount Airy, or seven miles northeast of Damascus, moving northeast at 35 miles per hour. This dangerous storm will be near Eldersburg and Sykesville around 12:05 p.m. If you are in the storm's path, please TAKE SHELTER NOW!

The fire is out. The building is being ventilated. Additional searches were conducted and no victims were found. There are no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians. The fire will be investigated by the HCDFRS Office of the Fire Marshal. Final update.

Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in the 9900 block of Washington Boulevard in Laurel. All occupants are reported to be out of the structure.

Crews are still on location and the fire is under control. Fortunately, there are no firefighters injuries, five (5) residents were evaluated by EMS crews and declined ambulance transport. The Red Cross has been notified and is responding to help the five displaced residents.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the forecast area Saturday evening-Monday Morning. Heavy mixed wintry precipitation is expected. A mix with sleet & freezing rain is expected Sunday, especially south of I-70. Significant icing is possible, especially south of Hwy 50.

Crews are on scene of a reported house fire in the 5100 block of Crestwood Lane, Ellicott City. Command has placed the fire out. No reported injuries to civilians or fire personnel. Final post.

The fire is out. Two residents were home when the fire started and both were transported from the scene. One resident was rescued by HCDFRS crews and one resident met crews at the door. The fire will be investigated by Howard County Office of the Fire Marshal. Final post.
