Today, @Keir_Starmer met with @MinPres at the @JEFnations leaders meeting in Helsinki. They discussed JEF's role alongside @NATO in safeguarding Euro-Atlantic security, the UK's new measures to tackle Russia's shadow fleet, and the importance of strong resilient economies.

At today’s Joint Expeditionary Force Leaders’ Summit I also had a meeting with Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer of the United Kingdom. We discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, the importance of a strong European pillar within NATO, and the need to provide ongoing support for Ukraine and ramp up the pressure on Russia. In this connection we also reflected on further measures to tackle the ships that make up the Russian shadow fleet, which circumvent sanctions by sailing under a false flag. The UK is a key partner for the Netherlands in many areas. I look forward to speaking with Prime Minister Starmer at greater length in the near future.

Honoured to join the Mayor & community as we remember those killed & injured when the Royal Air Force mistakenly bombed #Bezuidenhout in The Hague on 3 March 1945. The target had been V2 rocket launch sites in nearby Haagse Bos. Over 500 died. @ukinnl @GemeenteDenHaag 🇬🇧 🇳🇱
