Our team was excited to work with Houston City College at today’s Safety Event. Teammates from different areas of the Detention Command spent time with students answering questions and providing tips on safety.

Today, our Youth Leadership Council engaged in discussions on pressing topics affecting our communities like suicide prevention and gun violence.   By fostering awareness and action, we are empowering the next generation to lead with knowledge and a commitment to a safer future.

Lt. Ward partnered with Dr. Holmes of @TheHarrisCTR this week at The NCCHC Fall Conference. They spoke about our jail based competency restoration program. The Sheriff’s Office is proud to lead the field in this area of mental health.
