Dr. Haley's Seminar class takes on The Big Easy! ⚜️The seminar class topic is "Al Dente: Food, Culture, and Identity at Home and Abroad," and this past weekend, they visited several sites, including the Southern Food and Beverage Museum, Lafcadio Hearn House, and St. Roch Market.

Yesterday, Honors Alumnus Lance Brown was back on campus to speak with our Honors Scholars! He imparted valuable wisdom about the benefits of a liberal arts education to prepare for graduate school and a career in any field. We so enjoyed having you back on campus, Lance! #HCUSM

Last night, the Honors College RAs and First-Year Mentors held a Bob Ross Painting Night for our freshmen scholars. Each floor in Vann Hall played a different Bob Ross video, and they eagerly followed along - painting happy little trees and clouds. #HCUSM #HCTTT

Congratulations to senior Honors Scholar Alese Jones for being selected as a Financial Institution Specialist for the FDIC in the Division of Risk Management Supervision! Upon graduation in May, she will move to Charlotte, North Carolina! We are so proud of you, Alese! #HCUSM

This year, the HCLC philanthropic mission is to promote literacy and the love of learning in the Hattiesburg community. These Honors College scholars will be going to Aldersgate every other week to work and get to know local students from 1st - 12th grade. #HonorsinAction #HCUSM

Join us for HCLC Mini-Forum with Hali Black! It will be a fun night with an interactive "escape room" game and great information on managing all of your activities and academics. It counts a Forum Elective credit. This event is 6:30-7:30pm in the the International Center RM 101.
