@JoonbuggaVAfr It was described the only thing holding him back was his strict diet. If it was satiated, he could learn to speak more fluently. People loved this complex monster background held back by said hunger. So reducing him to just a feral animal takes away all of that.

@JoonbuggaVAfr Because his lore was originally a humanoid monster. An apex predator that had a level of intellect and understanding that could rival the civilians. He can create complex music, wield weaponry effectively and learn to utilize the English language accurately.

@roburkisser No one knows. Nothing has been confirmed so she could easily be in the range of 15-20. I head canon her around 19 as that's young enough for the council to not take her as seriously, but old enough to not be totally naive to the world around her and the sword itself.

I won't say anything, but the DoD team has fully seen the discourse and seems to be changing the lore again so Pursuer is not a "mindless feral animal". I am curious how this will all play out now.

@kyfuu_so Literally before he had the comprehension and intellect of the average civilian. His hunger and specific diet was just the thing that forced him to kill and eat. He could've learned to talk with others had his hunger been manageable.

@drinksandgvn It reminds me of when the revealed Artful's fan was a female months before they revealed she was a minor. They let Artful and the fan be shipped for months before saying she was a kid then quickly changed kid to adult because people were being harassed relentlessly.

Imagine letting fans freely shipping but then you gotta drop a bomb of a rewrite that they were shipping the character with a feral animal out of no where. So now whoever ships it looking like a weirdo

@R4GECABRA They rewrote artful to be just evil to having a fleshed out sympathetic backstory to make him more relatable. They made the hyperintelligent hunter that can learn and utilize a language now just a mindless animal because one person on the team hated a ship.

@VAsgore_ So many people also have a bad case of wanting to seem unproblematic that once they they find something they dislike and it's not something inherently evil, they need to villainize it to justify the hate so they seem holy and righteous.

@monstermagic34 The devs have stated Pursuer has the intellect of the civilians. He's just hungry 24/7. If his hunger was satiated and could be managed, he could actually integrate into society and live with the civilians.

It might've been better to put "Has deeply repressed trauma" than "has worse trauma" That way were not comparing traumas and potentially invalidating others by saying theirs is not as bad.
