Fraud proofs are scheduled to go live on @Base Sepolia testnet tomorrow (July 23) at 4PM UTC -- this is a critical step in Base's path towards decentralization They improve decentralization with two important capabilities: 1. Permissionless output proposals: With fault proofs, anyone can make claims about Base's current state instead of relying on a central party 2. Following last week's successful increase from 8.125Mgas/sec to 8.75Mgas/sec, @base is continuing to scale up performance and capacity to bring the world onchain by further boosting the per block gas target, tomorrow (July 24th), to 9.375Mgas/sec. This will enable even more transactions on Base to process per block. For most builders and users, no action is needed, but if you're running a Base Node, ensure you're ready for more increased activity from people using Base: 1. Monitor CPU and Disk I/O 2. Upgrade to NVMe SSDs for better throughput 3. Enhance CPU performance, focusing on single-core speed And as always, you can join the Base Discord (base.org/discord) if you ever need help, just want to hang, have feedback or questions. 👍
