Please see the news below of the announcement I just made internally to our Yuga Labs employees. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to lead this great team and to have connected globally with so many community members. Yuga has such a bright future.

Some news to share: I am stepping back in as CEO of Yuga Labs. Wylie and I are grateful for all the contributions and operational rigor Daniel has brought to the company, and appreciate his thoughtfulness and mentorship over the past year. I’m reinvigorated to be taking the reins for our next chapter. Looking at what’s ahead for Yuga, we need to execute with a more cryptonative focus across the entire company. There’s a couple things that are top of mind for Wylie and I: -BAYC: Appreciate everyone coming out to the first “Bored Meeting” this past weekend. To sum up our thinking around BAYC in the briefest possible terms, the utility of BAYC comes from the network. From everybody who is in the club. That’s why ApeFest is so special, why Made by Apes has seen explosive adoption, why the clubhouse itself is so hype, and why BAYC is able to collab with some of the biggest brands in the world. We want to unshackle the BAYC team at Yuga as much as possible to execute against its vision. More focus, more agility. So it can do the above, and create the space for the magic and crazy shit we used to get up to more often. Focus and agility requires autonomy. Step 1 is already done. A new company, “BAYC LLC”, was created as a Yuga subsidiary and will be responsible for everything BAYC. We’ve got a crack team of ninjas on the BAYC team, but there’s still a couple important roles to be filled over there. -Otherside: Otherside should be the living room of web3. The default space you go to in order to play and hang with your community (no matter what community that is). Otherside is also a massive swing for the fences. We’ve got a lot of work to do. The only way it gets built properly is if you all come in and experience it more often. When we set out to build Otherside, the goal was to make it a public, iterative process. I’m confident in the work our team has done to get us back to this plan, and our communication is going to ramp up this week starting with “Apes Come Home.” And we need to follow it up with a lot more frequent communication starting now and throughout the year. -Gaming: We need to approach games at Yuga with a tighter focus on what works. For us, that’s a barbell approach: 1) crazy fun play patterns that any kid at heart can enjoy. The more wildly fun and mass market, the better: like Dookey Dash. This is all about opening the funnel and flooding our ecosystem with millions of new users, and leveraging that to create opportunities for creators, IP holders, and pro players. Stoked for how this is coming together with our friends at @farawaygg 2) Cryptonative mechanics and platforms, like [redacted]. We’re going on three years since Yuga was founded, and we couldn’t be more excited about some of the stuff we’ve got in the pipeline. Extremely grateful for the team that’s assembled here across all our brands. There’s a lot of work to be done, but I couldn’t imagine doing it with any other team, or any other community of builders. Thanks for your support. For those who will be there, I’ll see you at NFT Paris.

I don't even entertain the idea of a top being in til 20% past BTC ATH. Does that mean I am certain we will see this. No. It means this is the bet and it's risk ROI is acceptable. THE END. No thought is needed. The roulette ball will go where it goes. THE only way to mess it up is sticking your overthinking hands in the table n moving chips while it spins.

Why this is bullish for Yuga: It’s so common to see hands on founders step aside when a company gets big and let “corporate adults” with big company pasts run it. It makes sense. In theory. Then what happens is these adults just bring nothing but endless bureaucracy n waste. A company that used to do nothing but “do” starts spending all its time doing “business” stuff. Active “doing” work becomes PowerPoints , meeting, hiring of more useless bozos/management and endless pointless busy work n talking about doing work. You show up n it’s just a bunch of overpaid idiots trying to appear to be doing enough work to not get fired OR hiring people to do their work. Suddenly your lean mean company is paralyzed and bloated, filled with legal, hr and 200 levels of management and NOTHING being done. This is chronic in American tech. I frankly don’t hire many Americans anymore because of this exact issue. Often….almost always…. The original founders who did stuff should have just stayed on top n kept doing stuff n just made a few key cultural fit hires….not handed over the company to a person with a Silicon Valley executive background. Second best is the founders come back, fire everyone and then come back to doing stuff. A team of 10 talented people who care n get stuff done is more effective than an army of Google type people. Focus on what created the magic and don’t be afraid to blow off the feeling to get “corporate” or think you need a “big dawg” CEO instead of the founder who made the magic.

I'm averaging 4.38% staking my Ethereum. Seems like this could really add up! Especially if $ETH price keeps grinding higher. How many #ETH do you need to be a millionaire?

Ego bias: If the obvious cause of your frustration hurts your ego, you will look tirelessly for another (wrong) cause & blame it instead. You’re overweight because you eat too much, not because you have some rare wild condition or need some secret pill. You can’t find someone to date because you’re a loser, not because you haven’t mastered the art of flirting and the 3-step approach at bars. Your business sucks because your product sucks, not because you haven’t optimized your email deliverability. It’s often the obvious things that hurt our feelings that are the exact things we need to fix. And we simply don’t because of what we’d first have to accept about ourselves.

A key problem with society today that will trap you Is people give far to much respect and importance to depression and anxiety. Having these is normal. They should be treated with zero f%^ks. If you have negative feeling the only thing to do is analyse why they are occurring fix it and then actively ignore them while you do the right things. Instead people make these their entire identity and obsess over them while taking drugs to “fix them”. This has just magnifies the problem. They get more depressed because they are trying to not be depressed instead of just ignoring it n diving deeper into life n attacking provlems. It’s to the point that people (as you’ll see in the comments) get offended if you tell them their depression/anxiety isn’t important. The truth is they arnt. They can literally just be written off. Remove the negative crap inducing them then dive head deep into positive proactive action. Everyone including me gets deeply depressed and stress ridden. It’s part of being human. There’s been point in my life even recently where I wake up n just feel totally lost and tier 10 down. Acting like the feelings are important never fixes it. Getting up anyways, getting my routine on track n pushing myself into the deep end of life always does. Negative feelings are a sign you need to take action…They are not a sign to sulk n fix them by shoving drugs in your mouth (aka avoid action) Acting like negative emotions are a life defining feature and part of you isn’t a solution. It’s just a culture of weak people finding an excuse to dive deeper into their mental weakness vs taking action. Be sad. Be anxious. Be stressed. It’s fucking….fine. You’ll be fine. Resisting it n getting more upset because your upset is the source of the entire problem. Fuck your depression. Fuck your anxiety. Everyone gets depressed and anxious. It’s not special. You’re experiencing being a human. Get the fuck out of bed, clean up you shit and do life anyways.
