Meet our Assistant Principal Ms. Cann. She works primarily with our PreK-2nd grade students, but is loved by all of our Harrison students and staff! Ms. Cann says she loves Harrison because “I love the diversity of the students at our school”.

Harrison is so thankful for our wonderful 3-5 School Counselor Ms. Kristina Varela! What does Ms. Kristina love about Harrison? “I am excited for the leadership academy and the new house system and how it is building community within the school.”

Our awesome community partners, @myTDOT, helped our Purple House of Dreamers during design challenge time today as they tackled the question “How do we keep traffic flowing during construction?”. We can’t wait to see what ideas our Harrison students come up with next week! 💜🦅

1 lesson we can teach our Ss is how to rally when a project goes sideways. This doesn’t look as expected, so we’ve already pivoted our plans for their next time in the lab. But they’re having fun cutting cardboard on a Friday afternoon, so… today we’ll let them. @HES_STEAM

3rd graders at @HES_STEAM are 3D printing animals from a specific biome to highlight their internal and external adaptations. I’m amazed at their 3D visualization skills— it’s their first time using @tinkercad
