👀 Iranian opposition sources report that a senior IRGC general has been eliminated—General Mohammad Ali Fath Alizadeh, commander of the “Fatehin” unit. This is a special unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that took part in the Syrian civil war. The unit operates under the IRGC Ground Forces; its fighters undergo specialized military training and have also been involved in suppressing protests. According to the reports, the Iranian general was killed in a strike yesterday. The IDF has not yet officially confirmed the elimination.

Mohammad Ali Fat’halizadeh, the commander of IRGC’s Fateheen special unit was killed by @IDF. A paramilitary branch of the IRGC, the Fateheen special unit is similar to Basij except that they undergo special training such as operation of sniper precision rifles. Fateheen forces were involved in sniper shooting of the Iranian people during the January 2026 “Lion and the Sun” uprising. They were also involved in quashing anti-Assad protests in Syria, killing thousands of Syrians.
