Here is another nice progression of approach velocity. Hitting a peak over 9 m/s is a milestone. Now for getting the take-off velocity to be 8.5 m/s or higher! Made possible by MuscleLab.

Nazeer Muhammad with a 40+ cm PR. This 13.74 m jump puts him #4 since 2016. While there are technical aspects that he is working on, one thing I love is how aggressive he is. No fear! 2 of the 3 jumps ahead of him are athletes on our current roster. Crowded room!

(1/2)What can be measured can be improved. Approach practice ~1 month apart. Improvements: - Peak velocity and take-off velocity are higher - Distance to peak velocity is closer to the board - Peak velo minus take-off velo is lower (1.43 to .89) How did this happen?

@Coachmdd Yes. Doesn’t run the 60 often. PR is 7.40. I am pretty confident he could run in the 7.2s.

@HFJumps Long Jumper Rob? Any indoor 50,55,60 FAT from anywhere in the same timeframe?

Will had a breakthrough day!

Had an athlete with a substantial PR on Friday. Took quite a few jumps. He was put on rest until Wednesday even though he felt fine on Monday. I wouldn’t have had the courage to do this in my 20s. Now…..he may not even do anything tomorrow 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nothing says “Freedom Units” more than still using the system of measurement based on the previous country that used to govern you. 🙄

@ILPTT @HFtrack_field We host a lot and face really good competition both home and away 🤷🏻‍♂️ “Show up” makes it sound like we are ducking competition. We aren’t.

@HFJumps @HFtrack_field Creating unnecessary narratives by saying “ #2 in the state”on flat. Is there a reason that you haven’t run on a bank? The opportunities have been there and extended. By the way, banks are standard. I did see Texas Relays on the schedule, so I will be watching intensely! 👀
