I don't usually do threads so that I can abuse them on days such as this. Further along, each of the butterflies will be shown in their glory as they evolve upto Day VI from their genesis. Don't seek to understand it. It's just like magnesium glycinate..let it do its job.
While I've maintained the same size for each of them to display in this format on X, the actual pixel grid size grows as:
> 25th October, 2022: Day I: 24 x 24 px (Genesis)
> 25th December, 2022: Day II: 30 x 30 px
> 25th August, 2023: Day III: 36 x 36 px
> 25th April, 2024: Day IV: 42 x 42 px
> 25th December, 2024: Day V: 48 x 48 px
> 25th August, 2025: Day VI: 54 x 54 px
Come April 25th, 2026, so long as I'm alive, there shall be a Day VII. These butterflies are all created anew over 8 month cycles representing a day in a butterfly's life (not generated via a script). I find the linkage between my own growth and the work itself may even make it generative in some committed sense. Therefore each butterfly lives and dies with me.
If you own the genesis butterfly, you keep receiving the next butterfly as an airdrop. The intrinsic value of this drawn out social experiment is pegged against the Genesis butterfly. The original idea or the original sin. Creation (Accusation) eh, @nfnkalyan ?
Smart contracts x Social contract ~ PoS x PoW
All art that I make in this format will adhere to this simple preference.
