Good morning everyone, Update on power outage in Fairland/Northcliff I finally got hold of the Team leader on the ground in Fairland They are busy in the area, as per communication on various platform from City Power, there is 13 load centre's off. The teams could'nt get access to these during the night due to they being unaccessible, locked, or in properties that's not accessible at night. If they could power would have been restored already. Update on power outage in Fairland/Northcliff ward89 as recieved from the Manager. City Power is working on restoring all 3 distributors that's off currently. Power returned for a brief period but tripped again due to overload, they now still on site bust fixing all the distributors so that they can normalise the system so that it doesn't trip again when they switch it on, they are currently busy testing and still working on restoring power at Roosevelt Park Substation. He couldn't give me a ETR but did assure me all hands on deck at the Substation to ensure power is restored as soon as possible. Cllr Zander Shawe Ward89 16h11 on 8 March 2025

Good morning everyone, The current situation on Ward 89 Fairland/Northcliff outage post loadshedding. The Storm on Wednesday caused havoc on the fragile infrastructure Areas affected include Linden, Northcliff, Fairlands, Berario, Victory Park, Montgomery Park, East Town, Franklin Roosevelt Park, and surrounding areas. Linden South Distributor, Montgomery Park Distributor, Northcliff South Distributor, and Victory Park Distributor. All went down And it's been a tough ride trying to restore them. Linden South Distributor has been restored only this morning. Multiple cable faults Montgomery Park distributor has been restored up to 88%. Multiple cable faults Northcliff south has been repaired to 90% only last night and they were busy preparing to switch on the other 10% multiple cable faults Post load shedding yesterday the Northcliff distributor went down and as at this morning at 5h43, 29% was restored (according to the info it points that this distributor is the culprit that's responsible for the power outage currently affecting Fairland and Northcliff in ward 89) The good news here is they are busy with the outage, the bad news is there is no ETR. Why am I giving you all this info? I'm not making excuses for City Power but I want to give you the whole picture in what's going on at Roosevelt sub station I'll continue to follow up and try and get information and update everyone till power is restored. 🙏🏻 Kind regards Cllr Zander Shawe Ward89 7h39 on 8 March 2025
