Woohoo! We picked up more chickens!! It was 11, then 16, now 20 more. Chicken math is complicated. 2025 we tried to give away 1000 eggs for free. Due to a fox we were only able to give away about 700 eggs. Im looking forward to giving away 1,000 eggs in 2026.

@ElmTreeBees I’ve found filling them with syrup doesn’t slow the collection of ivy. All it does is reduce even more laying space for winter bees

It's going to be interesting to see how the bees deal the slabs of Ivy nature has dealt them. I know some beefarmers feed them with syrup in advance of ivy flowering to stop them collecting it. I can see the logic!
