Ms. Sheldon's classes are learning about chemical reactions today through making ice cream!! This is an amazing way to learn about the process while also being IB learners and developing their natural curiosity.

Game Club is back on this year! We had so many students join the club this morning! Students can join at any time--contact Coach Myers for more information!!

Let's take a peek inside a classroom here at HHIMS! First up is Ms. A. Campbell, 6th grade math teacher. Ms. Campbell is teaching her students the Cake Method. This lesson touches on the IB principle of students becoming inquirers.

We are bringing back the Stingray Spotlights this year! To celebrate our new staff, we will be doing a "spotlight" moment on them every day so that you can get to know them just a little more. Today, we are starting off with Dr. Meredith Strmac, our new assistant principal!

This year's Stingray Startup will be on Monday, August 5. Please note that this year, it will be from 9AM to 2PM w/out a break in the schedule. Did you know that you go ahead and beat the line by enrolling online? This is so you can pick up your child's schedule without a delay.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year! For Teacher of the Year, Mr. Tim Huesing was chosen; for the Support Staff of the Year, Mrs. Luy Mora was chosen. We are so proud of our winners! Both can be seen with their families!

Tomorrow, April 6th, will be a dress-down day! Students can only do this if they bring in $1; they may wear jeans, athletic wear, t-shirts of choice, etc. They may NOT wear Crocs, slides, or hats.

You're looking at your Track and Field CHAMPIONS for both the boys and the girls! Wednesday night at Whale Branch was a success, and we are so proud of our students for coming home with so many medals! This afternoon, we will be doing a championship clap out for our team. #hhims
