Male refugees from Afghanistan and Syria in Germany show a keen interest in forming relationships with local women, but the local women show little interest in forming relationships with them.
Germany, in particular, received over 1,4 million refugees between 2014 and 2016, predominantly from Muslim-majority countries such as Syria and Afghanistan. The majority of these arrivals consisted of young, single men within prime marriageable age brackets. This study examines partnership preferences of male refugees from Afghanistan and Syria who arrived in Germany between 2014 and 2016 and female residents of similar age.
Overall, our results indicate a high level of openness among male refugees towards partnering with female members of the resident population, but a comparatively low level of openness among the latter towards partnering with recently arrived male refugees. This implies a substantial incongruence in partnership preferences among the two groups.
Regarding the educational level of a potential partner, we found that all respondents prefer highly educated partners over those with lower levels of education. This suggests that, for refugees, securing a highly educated partner might serve as a means of upward social mobility and integration into higher-status networks in the host society.
Furthermore, it is possible that highly educated women, due to their greater exposure to diverse social environments and potentially less discriminatory attitudes, are perceived as more open to intergroup partnerships, making them a more attractive choice for refugees seeking acceptance and social integration.
On the other hand, the reluctance of resident women to accept partnerships with refugees is largely explained by their rejection of the ‘imported’ religious Islam. It is possible that resident women perceive the religious practices of newly arrived refugees as different from their own, reinforcing a social distance that limits intergroup partnerships. Moreover, this reluctance might not only reflect religious differences but also concerns about gender norms or perceived lifestyle incompatibilities.

I may be able to help. I have been traveling to Germany yearly since about 2001. I have good German friends. The mother of one of them is active in the Green Party. She had posters on her garbage bins saying stuff like “Atomkraft? Nein, danke!”
She never gave a reason for hating atomic energy. It was just morally bad I guess. She had arguments & defenses of her other positions, but atomics were not subject to debate.
So it’s religious, not logical, and as such needn’t have a rational reason. Much as I refrain from drinking coffee or liquor for religious reasons.

My best friend was a professor of Arabic history, who was fluent in the language. He was generally anti-Israel but not rabidly so (we disagreed on that). He told me about the Arab slave trade in Africa. I asked him why there wasn’t a surviving black population in Arabia.
He explained to me that the Western slave trade stole peoples from the coasts inward, sailing victims to the New World. About 10% of those taken died en route, which of course is dreadful.
The Arab slavers came from the interior. Their slaves were marched up through the heart of Africa north. The trip on foot took much longer and was far more rigorous than the European shipping route. He said it’s estimated that 90% of the slaves taken by the Arabs died en route. So Arabia TOOK as many slaves as the West, but they didn’t make it.
The poor Africans took it on the chin. With Arabs from inside and Whites from the coasts they were trapped.

It's simple because the Arab slave trade had a cattle like system... the would castrate majority of the males and melt shut the cooch of the females and the only ones they didn't were the ones they kept on the back to use as cattle to make future slaves, that is if they were cheap, most just buy new ones. AND THIS IS STILL GOING ON IN MIDDLE EAST, BUT AMERICANS ONLY CARE ABOUT THE ONE THAT IS ALREADY OVER!

Når man skyder skylden på medierne, siger man jo reelt, at vælgerne er dumme. At vælgerne ikke tager et oplyst valg. Det er jeg lodret uenig i.
Vi har et velsmurt demokrati i Danmark og en oplyst offentlighed. I Lyngby var valgdeltagelsen fx historisk høj. Vælgerne ved godt hvad de stemmer på. Vælgerne fravalgte V og S på grund af vores politik og fordi de ønskede forandring. Ikke på grund af mediernes dækning.
