The 2022 @ParticipACTION report card on physical activity for children and youth is out and the results are worrisome. This year’s overall physical activity grade is a D. Only 28% of kids and youth meet the daily recommended level of physical activity.

It is our job to acknowledge this today, and all days. Beginning today, our social media content will regularly feature Indigenous athletes, raise awareness for the Indigenous history of green spaces in Ontario, and organizations that work in the space.

5 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action are on sport. They ask that various levels of government provide public education on the national story of #indigenous athletes, ensure long term athlete development, and inclusivity.
