🚨 Oklahoma Is #1 in the Nation for SNAP Fraud Per Capita 🚨 According to USDA data, Oklahoma leads the nation in reported SNAP fraud incidents per capita, with 20,742 reported cases and a rate of 5.116 incidents per 1,000 residents among states sharing data. For comparison, Texas, with a population nearly eight times larger, reported just 13,067 incidents. The problem goes beyond fraud alone. Oklahoma’s SNAP payment error rate reached 10.87% in FY2024, well above the new federal threshold of 6%. That means millions of taxpayer dollars are being lost through overpayments, administrative mistakes, benefit theft, and trafficking. In 2024 alone, more than 25,000 Oklahoma households had stolen benefits replaced after card skimming and cloning schemes drained over $11 million from the program. Meanwhile, federal officials estimate Oklahoma could face between $235 million and $270 million annually in new cost-sharing obligations if these problems aren’t addressed. The stakes are high. SNAP distributes roughly $1.5 to $2 billion in federal taxpayer dollars each year and serves approximately 680,000 to 694,000 Oklahomans. Most recipients are families, seniors, disabled individuals, and children who rely on the program to put food on the table. They deserve a system that works. Instead, Oklahoma continues to struggle with eligibility verification issues, administrative errors, fraud investigations, and benefit theft. Every dollar lost to waste or abuse is a dollar that isn’t helping the people the program was designed to serve. Governor Kevin Stitt, State Auditor Cindy Byrd, and Oklahoma Human Services officials have announced reforms, including improved verification procedures and the rollout of more secure chip-enabled benefit cards. Those are positive steps, but with numbers like these, taxpayers deserve measurable results and accountability. Oklahoma families are footing the bill for a system that isn’t performing as it should. This guy is mesmerized by this tornado in Enid, Oklahoma. Pardon the language. Instead of driving away from it, he drives towards it just to get a better view. That’s the most tornado looking tornado I’ve seen. Storm chasers run around the Midwest all spring and summer trying to get this footage and this guy stumbled upon this like a side quest. They say if a tornado looks like it is standing still, it is coming right at you. Many people saying they would like to see a tornado live, just once in their life, up close and personal. Would you ever drive towards a tornado? Do you have that bucket list thrill of seeing one live near you?

For our Vietnam Vets. Growing up the son of a Vietnam Vet and in a military family the war was a little different for us..Our friends in school their dads had been to Nam or in Nam or on their way to Vietnam. It touched us a little differently then most in the civilian population. I can remember so well as a kid the whole family gathered around the TV to watch the POWs come home.
