The reverberation of Bad Bunny’s colossal Super Bowl performance continues this week as the Rimas marvel—who’s been dominating the DSPs—regains the #1 spot on the HITS Top 50 chart with nearly 139k. Last week’s chart-topper, Cole World/Interscope’s J. Cole, falls off just a bit with 82k+, good for #2. Atlantic’s @DonToliver , Big Loud/Mercury/Republic’s @MorganWallen and Island’s Olivia Dean round out the Top 5. The biggest debut belongs to ISO Supremacy/UnitedMasters’ Brent Faiyaz, whose Icon arrives at #6 with about 57k; Brent’s “butterflies.” has fluttered into Spotify’s U.S. Top 50. Also premiering in the Top 10: @Charlixcx’s Wuthering Heights ST (Atlantic), which approaches a swoony total of nearly 50k. Oh, Heathcliff! 1⃣ Bad Bunny (138.8k) 2⃣ J. Cole (82.6k) 3⃣ Don Toliver (79.4k) 4⃣ Morgan Wallen (76.7k) 5⃣ Olivia Dean (71.3k) See full chart 👇 hitsdailydouble.com/news/charts/to…

“The culture war is over,” declared The New York Times shortly before our latest print issue went to press. “Bad Bunny won.” That may sound like hyperbole, but the Rimas supernova’s AOTY win and other huge Grammy looks, followed by an infinitely bigger Super Bowl appearance, prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the haters who dismissed him seriously misread the room. Bunny got a gigundo streaming boost after the Grammys without performing; now that the massive Super Bowl audience has seen him do his thing, he's redefining what "moving the needle" means. How big, in Bunny's case, is big? P.S. ICE out.

Warner's Zach Bryan earns the first #1 debut of the year with the 25-track With Heaven on Top. The new set, which was buttressed with an acoustic version midway through the week, opens with 135k and marks the second time the Oklahoma troubadour bows atop the chart. SEA contributed to 128k of Bryan’s total. Republic Label Group holds the rest of the Top 5, with @MorganWallen, @taylorswift13, Olivia Dean and the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack. (It's the first week since October that Republic doesn't hold the #1 spot) Columbia’s The Kid LAROI scores his best debut yet with Before I Forget, which opens at #6 with 41k. Teaser alert: Bruno Mars’ 2010 debut Doo-Wops & Hooligans re-enters the chart at #25 following the rollout of the Atlantic superstar’s new single “I Just Might” and the announcement of his forthcoming album and gigundo stadium tour for The Romantic. 1⃣ Zach Bryan (135.1k) 2⃣ Morgan Wallen (84.1k) 3⃣ Taylor Swift (65.9k) 4⃣ Olivia Dean (64.4k) 5⃣ Kpop Demon Hunters (56.9k) See full chart: hitsdailydouble.com/news/top-50-20…

What Prediction Markets Are Predicting for the Grammys Because we're not total amoral degenerates (emphasis on "total"), we're going to refrain from placing wagers on regime change in Iran or monitoring the odds of an asteroid putting us out of our misery. But with the Grammys two-plus weeks away, we thought we'd take a gander at the betting favorites in the Big 4 categories. hitsdailydouble.com/news/grammys/p… @Kalshi_Culture

On Jan. 14 BTS will announce its first tour since 2022, which is expected to consist of about 30 shows each in international and North American markets. Word is that managers HYBE offered AEG Presents the entire tour in exchange for a half-interest in Coachella (!?!), but the deal fell through, clearing the way for Live Nation to promote most of the upcoming dates. Still a Problem: @MorganWallen Starts 2026 at #1 All boats rise with new SEA ratios, but it’s Morgan’s I’m The Problem that starts the year with the biggest boost—nearly a 25% increase in streaming equivalents—rising to #1. It’s the first time Wallen tops the chart since last August. Following Wallen are @taylorswift13’s The Life of a Showgirl, Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving and Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack. Dean earns her best week yet with the new chart math, reaching new peaks at #3 and 61k units. @tatemcrae and @SZA rise to #5 and #6 with So Close to What and SOS, respectively. Djo’s Decide soars to #27 following @Netflix’s Stranger Things finale, which is also responsible for Prince’s Purple Rain re-entering the Top 50. 1⃣ Morgan Wallen (81.3k) 2⃣ Taylor Swift (70.7k) 3⃣ Olivia Dean (61.8k) 4⃣ HUNTR/X (56.2k) 5⃣ Tate McRae (37.5k) See Chart: hitsdailydouble.com/news/charts/to…

Sure, the @RepublicRecords triumvirate of @taylorswift13, @MorganWallen and KPop Demon Hunters decorates the top three spots on the latest HITS Top 50 chart, but this week’s real news is all about visions of sugar plums dancing in consumers’ heads.
