Complementing the programme will be Cine Fan’s annual film course, focusing this year on Andrei Tarkovsky, widely regarded as one of the most spiritual and poetic directors of all time.

Recognising the significant impact of modern literary works on the Golden Age of Japanese cinema, Cine Fan will showcase 16 films adapted from the writings of five celebrated Japanese novelists in its upcoming November/December edition.

Besides bringing to the Hong Kong audience his remarkable Living Projection: In Praise of the Image, Swiss producer and Godard collaborator Fabrice Aragno today also took part in a panel discussion, shared some intimate memories with the auteur.

Swiss producer and collaborator Fabrice Aragno will visit Hong Kong and personally participate in a panel discussion. He will talk about his close relationship with Jean-Luc Godard, sharing his working experience and daily encounters with the maestro with the Hong Kong audience.

Paying homage to the late French New Wave giant Jean-Luc Godard, HKIFFS will take film lovers on a transformative journey to rediscover the auteur's ingenuity through a forest of images.⁣
