Casa Común: Collaborative Art Exhibition Feb. 8-22 (2024). Opening Feb 8 at 6pm in Melville Lib North RR. A collaborative art project that confronts the atrocities of the war in Colombia. Organized by @SBU_CCSP, cosponsored by HLL, @StonyBrookLACS, @hisb_SBU, @WGSSSBU, Sociology.

Our PhD student, Alessio Arena performed with the group “Suonno d’Ajere” at the Mercat de la Música Viva de Vic (Barcelona) this Sept 2023. Besides singing and playing, Alessio translated and musicalized sonnets from the Spanish poet Garcilaso into Naepolitan. ¡Bravo, Alessio!
