I rarely shoot video of him hitting or pitching. But something told me to break out the camera and film his first AB. I accidentally did it in slow mo (while switching back and forth from doing GameChanger) and sure enough, he hits his first real home run. (5/7)

This footage is incredible but even more amazing is Salvador Perez’s reaction at the end. Like a true leader, he’s not hanging his head. As the Captain, he’s getting his team totally focused on what’s next, not what just happened. And then he donated his catcher’s gear to us!

After last night, first thing I had to do this morning was stop by our Viva Baseball exhibit to pay tribute to the Venezuela section. Having lived there for a month, I’m so happy for my friends and all those who have waited 20 years to see this day.

It’s a moment that will be replayed forever in Venezuela. The cleats Daniel Palencia wore to close out the @WBCBaseball championship will be preserved at the Hall of Fame. #WorldBaseballClassic

What a tight, awesome game last night. Yes, the WBC was tremendous but right before that, Cooperstown High advanced to the State Semifinals with a 60-57 win. Years of hard work paying off for these boys. Fun to see so many of their friends drive to Syracuse to support them!
