in korea, when people meet me, a lot of them only see the “gay” part of me first. but my friends and the people i met here were curious about me as a person. they wanted to know me, not just a label. i’m just me. being gay is only one part of who i am. but many people still approach me with preconceptions, or say they’re open minded like it’s some kind of joke. maybe that’s why i felt lonely without even realizing it. but here, i’ve received so much comfort. i’ve been genuinely happy. thank you to everyone who sees me for who i am and accepts me as i am. it really means more than you know.

Eight years ago today, my debut single “Neverland” was released. Even though there were many things I wish I had done better, so many of you showed this song so much love, and thanks to that, I was able to meet all of you and stand where I am today. Because of that, this song feels like my own child to me, and it holds a very special place in my heart. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who worked with me on “Neverland,” and I also want to apologize to my fans from the bottom of my heart for not always being able to show you enough love and active promotions. Over the past eight years, I have been searching for myself and truly living my life, gaining so many different experiences along the way. With all of that as my foundation, my goal this year is to come back to you as a more mature artist with better music. In this music industry where everything feels oversaturated and viral moments seem to be everything, I often wonder what the right path is. But rather than talking about the world, I believe that looking honestly at myself and telling sincere stories will be meaningful work in itself.
