People are really struggling to have access to any type of food or raw ingredients to cook. “like one body” initiative has been around for years providing help to the families in need specially around the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is a holy month were Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. With the ongoing situation if people can not have enough supply, this Ramadan will have catastrophic effects on families in Sudan. “I tried hard before (Ali's) birth to get a box of baby formula, but I couldn't find any. I thought maybe the hospital would provide a box of formula on the day of his birth. After his birth, his mother wanted to breastfeed him, but nothing came out due to her poor nutrition. I went to the nursery and found nothing. I searched everywhere in the hospital but couldn't find any milk. After seven hours, one of the women gave me a syringe with a little milk in it. We are besieged in the north of Gaza.”
