MarineTraffic data reviewed by NBC News shows that two US-sanctioned vessels moved through the Strait of Hormuz from Friday night into Saturday morning. The tanker Ocean Jet, which is on the US sanctions list for helping facilitate the secret sale of Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles, was one of them. The Curacao-flagged Lumina Ocean, labeled by the US since December as part of Iran's "shadow fleet" of petroleum tankers, traveled out of the Persian Gulf. An Iranian cargo ship also passed through the strait, hugging Iran's coastline. In the same window, between 5 p.m. ET Friday and 5 a.m. ET Saturday, four other cargo ships, an Omani passenger ferry, and the Russian pleasure yacht Nord sailed through the area. The Nord left Dubai on Friday and took a route south of Larak Island.
