#Turkey detains 132 in latest operations over alleged #Gülen movement links 📌Operations ongoing for more than a decade now point not to a concrete security threat but to a politically driven policy of prolonged punishment. 📌#ByLock is still presented as evidence in investigations. Yet the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights, in its September 2023 #Yalçınkaya v. Türkiye judgment, ruled that the use of ByLock does not constitute a criminal offense in itself and cannot serve as sufficient grounds for arrest. This ruling continues to be ignored in practice. 📌According to official figures, over 126,000 people have been convicted since 2016, with 11,085 still in prison. More than 24,000 face ongoing trials, while 58,000 remain under active investigation nearly a decade later, highlighting the absurd persistence of mass criminalization. stockholmcf.org/turkey-detains…
