The comments on Instagram are blaming this on the refs. If the student-athletes don't begin to take accountability, this issue is not going to be solved.

In August, 100 ejections were reported to the NCHSAA. That is a 35% increase from 2024-25. "The number of ejections we have already seen this school year is far too high," NCHSAA Commissioner Que Tucker said in a statement to HighSchoolOT. Profanity/racial slurs and fighting have been the two biggest reasons behind the 100 ejections. In the first week of the football season, there were 23 ejections. 11 were for fighting, and nine were for profanity (including racial slurs).
