Chris Simpson, a turtle clan from the Oneida Nation, shared his lived experience spending nearly half of his life incarcerated. Currently a fire keeper at Wiifwaaminan Shelter, Chris spoke on our Community Reintegration panel about his journey at @atlohsa.

Jonathan Peltier shared his lived experience, emphasizing community reintegration and reducing overrepresentation of Indigenous Peoples in the justice system. Saige McMahon and Racquel Hamlet highlighted culturally responsive approaches in crisis response.

With over 70 attendees, including those with lived experiences and BIPOC representatives, powerful stories filled the room. Collaborative discussions tackled critical issues like housing barriers and client complexity.
