Day 10, Friday. Lots of evidence for a building/s, is it the Cholmondeley’s house or an earlier building in the precinct of the Church of St John the Baptist or a complicated mixture of both? Open Afternoon 14 May 1.30 – 4.30pm, come and see what we’ve found. @HistArchChester

Do you have an archaeological project of clear and lasting public value in #Cheshire that would benefit from a small grant from our St John's House? Do you have ideas on research on @findsorguk discoveries? See our Grants and Awards page chesterarchaeolsoc.org.uk/grants-and-awa…

The sad demise of #Liverpool's most famous Mersey ferry "Royal Iris," where The Beatles performed. Languishing on the River Thames. It's beyond saving IMHO.

#EYAChallenge As part of the preparation for our move, we've been packaging large, heavy, & sometimes downright unwieldly volumes of court records in lovely custom made boxes, ready to be taken to our out-store down the salt mine - approx. 800 boxes so far! 💪 #AThingofBeauty 😄
